Jazzy D started the DJ live concept in Holland around 1997. With tenor sax man Hans Dulfer and DJ Mr Melle he created Future Groove Express, a platform for DJs, producers and live musicians. Jazzy D has become a specialist in the DJ live concept since then and worked with many great names in the industry. From festivals to dance events to club venues to large coporate events, this formation has a track record of more than 15 years around Europe. With famous sax lady Candy Dulfer Jazzy has worked since 2007. After their first show together for Cartier in Amsterdam this connection got merged and Candy and Jazzy are still working together when clients request this combination.
 
Jazzy D also produced and co produced tracks. The biggest hit he wrote was a collaboration with Hardsoul and Ron Caroll. The track "Back Together" become a nº 1 hit around the world and got awarded several times as "soulful house track of the year". With labels such as Soulfuric & Defected this track became a solid classic. Jazzy D also co produced tracks for Hed Kandi, Supperclub, and many more labels.

As a DJ he has a keen ear for playing with live musicians because of his classical piano training and jazz improvisation skills he blends his "pianist" DJ skills with any kind of vocalist of instrumentalist. A true specialist. From soulful loungy grooves upto soul and funk, soulful house, uplifting house and deep minimal techfunk sets, Jazzy D has a wide range style and can be placed on several locations and events with his unique style.
